Cyclists in the Tour ride in a clockwise direction. The Tour de Scottsdale course includes almost 1,200 feet in elevation changes with a long ascent over the first half and a gradual descent on the way back to the finish line. Please note that the 30-mile course will now be re-routed. Cyclists heading southbound on Pima Rd will turn west onto Pinnacle Peak. From there, 30-mile cyclists will continue west to Williams Dr. Once on Williams, they will continue southwest to Hayden Rd. Cyclists will take Hayden Rd. south to Thompson Peak Parkway with a left to continue eastbound. For the final stretch, 30-milers will cross over Pima Rd, with a finish southbound on 90th street to Market Street. The 30-mile finish has been changed to ensure a safer was across Pima Road, as required by the City of Scottsdale for this particular event. Please be advised that the last portion of this course is still not supported by police and cyclists must adhere to the rules of the road.Furthermore, all participants need to exercise rider responsibility by studying the course and paying attention to course marshals as well as event directional signage.
Aid stations on the Tour courses serve water, electrolyte drinks and energy gels. If you have specific needs, please come prepared. Start time for the Tour de Scottsdale is 6:30 am for both the 70-mile and 30-mile ride.
