Tour de Scottsdale converted to virtual event
As we continue to navigate the evolving situation as it
relates the coronavirus pandemic, public health and safety is top of mind when
planning the 2020 Tour de Scottsdale. After careful consideration, we have made the
difficult decision to cancel the in-person event.
We are happy to announce that we will host a virtual event,
which will be held during the week of October 12. This will allow all of you
road warriors to keep the cycling spirit alive, stay active and healthy, and
support the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy!
Riders will have an option to complete ride miles on
their own. This could be done by riding the official Tour de Scottsdale
courses, doing miles around your city or even from your own living room, on a
trainer. In addition to the traditional 30-mile and 70-mile rides, shorter distances
such as a 15-mile course, and 5-mile fit family ride will be introduced.
Register and complete any of the distances to receive a
commemorative, distance-unique medal, awesome virtual goodie bag and perks,
along with all the bragging rights. Registration opens soon!
All participants who were originally registered for the
October 11, 2020 event, will be issued a refund. Further information will be
sent to current registrants via email.
We wish good health and safe rides for all. Thank you for
your continued support of the Tour de Scottsdale. We look forward to coming
back better and stronger in 2021.
